Juice of 2 organic lemons

1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

4 cups coconut water

*optional: 1 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Skin the turmeric root using a spoon by pointing the top of the spoon on the top of the root and scraping down until the skin comes off. Follow this process again with the ginger. (Be careful of staining your fingers and work station)
  2. Place the turmeric, ginger, lemon juice, pepper and coconut water in a high speed blender and blend until combined.
  3. Option to top it off with cayenne pepper for an extra boost.
  4. Taste and bask in the fresh reward of being you.

Honey Horchata

2 cinnamon sticks

4 cups hot water

2 cups milk, or almond milk

Honey, to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the rice in a colander and rinse under cold water
  2. Add the rice, 2 cups of hot water, and 2 cinnamon sticks to a blender.
  3. Blend until the rice and cinnamon sticks are roughly ground. Add the remaining water and blend again.
  4. Pour contents into a pitcher or a container with a fitted lid, add the ground cinnamon, and refrigerate overnight or for at least 8 hours. (The longer the better!)
  5. Pour the rice mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, into a pitcher. Discard the rice.
  6. Stir in the milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and honey (to your preference). Chill until ready to serve.
  7. Add ice, pour into a favorite glass and drizzle on the honey. Savor the moment.

  2. Add ice to a cocktail shaker then add the cooled coffee, simple syrup, coffee liqueur and vodka.
  3. Shake very hard so the foam is formed then strain it quickly into a martini glass or glass of your choice. Top with coffee beans, serve.
